Users who buy into the beta will get the full release free. Still, I upgraded to Start11 and I can't imagine using W11 without it. I think the default Start Menu for W11 is okay. Move it to the left, put it up or in the center, or change the Start button's reaction to different clicks, keystrokes etc. Start11 will be extending this to support a host of new Start menu ideas such as the concept of pages, tabs, minimalism, and features for our enterprise customers. START11 UPDATE
Before update to latest version everything was ok. Also Start11 will modify your system with missing options from older versions of Windows, which, for example, will allow you to move the taskbar to the top of the desktop or rebuild the context menu at the taskbar in the "tenth" style. With latest version of Start11 (1.45) all icons and time on taskbar became little bit upper than usual (I have taskbar on the top of screen because using ObjectDock). In that case, Start11 offers several styles, such as Windows 7, Windows 10, or a modern adaptation of these classic menus while retaining a fresh but familiar feel.
